Witness at Bradwell
An ecumenical pilgrimage was arranged by Churches Together in Essex and East London. It was planned to be held in Bradwell on Saturday, 2nd July 2011, and it was the 90th anniversary of such pilgrimages. Bradwell is the place in Essex where the missionary, Cedd, landed when he came from Iona centuries ago.
A few members of the Essex Protestant Council attended the event in order to protest, in particular at the presence of the Romanist Bishop of Brentwood. During the protest many useful conversations took place when the relevant issues were freely discussed, and we trust the blessing of God may rest upon the testimony.
